Abstract painting continues in my little studio...I think I might be getting into a groove here. While I have been painting I've been listening to "Big Magic" written and narrated by Elizabeth Gilbert.
She has such a fascinating take on creativity and inspiration. So many things she has said have been swirling around in my mind for days. Who knew there was any room up there for any more swirling thoughts? I can only imagine how happy some of the old thoughts were to be able to get off the merry-go-round in my brain and take a break for awhile.
Amidst the swirling I had an idea to paint the next seven paintings in the order of the rainbow, using one color a day to be the "main" color. I tend to get stuck with my favorite colors and the whole purpose of this "30 in 30 Challenge" is to push myself out of my comfort zone and try new things, including different color choices. It's like having a little outline to follow! (yep, that's me, rule-follower.)
So here is "Red", as in Roy G. Biv.
